Description

Our gorgeous Alpaca Infinity Scarves are one of the most popular fashion accessories due to the “infinite” ways that a single scarf can be worn! An infinity scarf is a scarf with the ends sewn together to form a closed loop. This circular design allows the scarf to be worn in a variety of trendy ways including: single loop, double loop, turtleneck, knotted, bowed, tied, flowered, pulled through, and as a hood, shawl, or vest. Experimenting with different variations of wearing your infinity scarf is a fun way to change up any outfit!

Alpaca scarves are warmer and yet lighter in weight than wool!
Since alpaca is 40% warmer than sheep’s wool by weight, alpaca scarves can be made 40% lighter and yet still remain warmer than heavier wool scarves. Plus, Alpaca fiber’s natural characteristic to breathe helps to wick moisture away much more efficiently than sheep’s wool.

Our Alpaca Infinity Scarves are made from a proprietary blend of 85% alpaca and 15% bamboo (also known as polyimide and rayon from Bamboo and some specialized types of acrylic). This creates a luxuriously soft scarf with additional strength, durability, and memory—so it can be more easily washed and helps to maintain their appearance over time. Bamboo fiber is also super-soft and hypoallergenic—just like alpaca fiber. This is MY CHOICE to create a better product that withstands use and is easier to launder.

Hypoallergenic
Our alpaca scarves contain no lanolin (like wool scarves) and do not have the “prickle factor” found in sheep’s wool since the cuticle on the alpaca’s hair shaft is super smooth. Looking at sheep’s wool under a microscope looks like you are viewing a miniature barbed wire. Whereas the cuticle of the alpaca’s hair shaft is very smooth and soft to the touch. For these reasons, alpaca products also tend to stay cleaner than products made from sheep’s wool.

Alpaca Scarf Care
Our alpaca scarves can be washed in your washing machine’s most gentle cycle with cold water and cold rinse using a conditioning human hair shampoo in place of soap. Scarves can be placed in a dryer under very low heat or no heat. Though heat will not ruin the scarf, it can cause shrinkage and is not recommended. We also recommend the use of several dryer sheets when drying your alpaca scarf. more
