Please contact us directly at 301-888-2742 or email us for our most recent animal sales list. This list can change on a weekly to monthly basis, so it is difficult to update our website as quickly with the most up-to-date information. We put alpaca and llama packages together based on the specific needs and requirements of our clients. We strive to make a “perfect fit” of animals for everyone involved. All of our animals are also “our children”; thus we want to find the best new homes as well so that all parties involved (people and animals) will be happy and healthy! Currently we have many black suris and black and grey huacayas for sale (males & females). If there is something specific you are interested in, please contact us. So far, we have sold over 100 (one-hundred!) high quality and healthy alpacas and llamas to very satisfied clients all over the United States. We will be sure to get you exactly what you want, along with the most competitive prices in the industry.

USA Elegante

Half Accoyo!

Type: Female Suri
Status: Open / Proven
Birthdate: 11/1/1999
Heritage: Full Peruvian
Registration: ARI Registered
ARI #: 819283
Color: White

USA Elegante originally came from Unisource Suri Alpacas as a weanling. Elegante is Full Peruvian and Half Accoyo. Her dam is 4Peruvian USA Rubia, and her sire is 4Peruvian Royal Damasco 6090. She is a fantastic mother-very attentive and caring-but she has recently developed an udder problem which will produce bottle babies. This is why her price is reduced. Elegante has absolutely no problem getting pregnant and carrying her healthy crias to full term. She delivers without problems. Elegante is easy to tease; there is no ambiguity. Either she is very receptive or vehemently non-receptive (pregnant). Elegante is a super easy keeper herself, and is on the bigger side; thus she is not an alpaca which requires a lot of grain supplementation to keep proper weight, even when she was nursing a cria. Elegante's only problem started about 4 years ago when my mother became very sick, and I needed to be in Florida to help her. Somehow, Elegante developed mastitis when I was gone, and my farm manager at the time was unaware of the circumstance. Elegante is now completely infection free and super healthy, but her udder never seemed to work properly after this ordeal. Thus her crias must be bottle fed in order to thrive and be strong. So far, Elegante's female offspring have had no problems themselves, nursing their own crias. This does not appear genetic.

I call this the "Law of Alpacas", as I only have a few Full Peruvians and even fewer part Accoyos. Why this particular situation happened to her, and not to one of my less financially valuable animals, I do not know. Thus it is similar to "Murphy's Law". (Of course, all of my alpacas and llamas are extremely valuable to me!)

Elegante is open and ready to breed. Yet you must be prepared for a bottle baby, which is a very time intensive but extremely "bonding" effort. If you purchase another female from me, I will give her to you free of charge. She would also make a great companion female in a small herd.
