  Matt Dillon resembles his famous herdsire - Gunsmoke - almost exactly, except that Matt Dillon is a darker shade of charcoal with black streaks. His first crias were born in the Spring 2007, and they range from a very contrasty dark fawn, to charcoal grey and blue-black. All of his crias are suris, and they are most definitely show quality alpacas who would make a great addition to any high quality suri breeding program, especially those breeding for dark colors with unusual markings, even when bred to white females with long pedigrees of white or light colors. Matt Dillon has never left my farm to participate in the show-ring; I leave the show circuit's success up to my clients.

  What I love most about his crias, is their extremely lusterous fleece - the type of long, well-defined suri lock which looks wet and greasy. It is cool to the touch as well. Heads type and good coverage are also very important to me as a suri breeder. Matt Dillon certainly improves these characteristics with any female who breeds to him.

  "The proof is in the pudding", and Matt Dillon's famous suri pedigree is testament to consistency regarding its high quality suri phenotype THAT SELLS! Matt Dillon's famous grandsire is 4P Condor. His cria maintain both his great conformation and suri fleece with an added twist of bizarre color patterns. The well known suris he has sired include Seattle Mist, GLR Kohahna, Lord Greystone, GLR Manassas, GLR Missoni, GLR Warrior and GLR Amelita to name a few. Condor is the sire of the 2002 AOBA Grey Female Color Champion and the highest selling female alpaca at auction in 2002. He also sired the 2005 Grey Female Color Champion at the AAA Futurity. Between the AAA Futurity and the AOBA Nationals in 2003 and 2004, his sons won three Grey Male Color Championships and One Reserve Color Championship at these prestigious shows.
